What Kitcord is
💡 We're a no-code Discord bot builder. You compose the logic — we run the bot.
Kitcord is a visual Discord bot builder. You use our Canvas to assemble bot logic from Pieces (pre-built blocks like "Send Message", "Add Role", "Kick member"). The result is a Bot Kit — a JSON file that our Engine interprets to run your bot on Discord.
You can download your Bot Kit JSON anytime, for free — no secrets inside. You can also download a full self-host ZIP (Kit + SQLite snapshot + compiled Mini Engine) from bot Settings — export stays free.
Your account
💡 Your Discord account gets you in. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
You sign in with Discord (for your Kitcord account only). We receive your Discord user ID, display name, avatar URL, and email — that's it for login. Your Discord bot token (from the Developer Portal) is separate bot credentials, stored encrypted when you connect a bot. You're responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately.
Acceptable use
💡 Build useful bots. Don't build harmful ones.
You agree not to use Kitcord to build or operate bots that:
Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
Spam, harass, or send unsolicited DMs to Discord users
Distribute malware, phishing links, or illegal content
Abuse or circumvent Kitcord's infrastructure or rate limits
Infringe on intellectual property or trademarks
Collect personal data from Discord members without clear consent
Violations may result in bot suspension or account termination, at our discretion. We'll try to contact you first for non-critical issues.

We never lock your data behind a paid tier
Hosting and energy
💡 5,000 ⚡ free every month. Most bots stay free. Heavy use or 24/7 gateway costs more.
Running your bot on Kitcord uses ⚡ Energy. Every flow run spends a little — each Piece has its own cost (replies, roles, moderation, and so on). You get 5,000 ⚡ free every month, resetting on your signup date. That's enough for most casual bots to stay at zero cost.
Unused free ⚡ does notroll over to the next month. If you buy extra ⚡ when top-ups are available, purchased energy never expires and rolls over month to month. We'll never charge you without you choosing to — opt-in only, not a subscription.
Bots in full gateway mode (listening for message events, timers, and the like) use about 500 ⚡ per day while live, on top of flow costs. The default interaction-only mode has no gateway upkeep — great for slash commands and spells.
If your balance hits zero, live bots are paused until your monthly reset or you top up (top-ups coming soon — see Pricing on our homepage). Building, editing, installing expansions, and exporting Kit JSON are always free.
Your Discord bot token
💡 We encrypt it, we store it, and we never expose it — not even in exports.
When you add your Discord bot token (from the Developer Portal — not your login), it is encrypted at rest before storage and is never included in Bot Kit JSON, Kit exports, or any client-facing response. We use it only to connect your bot to Discord on your behalf.
When you self-host with Mini Engine, you supply the bot token in your local .env — it is never pre-populated from Kitcord.
Expansion packs
💡 Expansions are free to install and export. If they call outside APIs, those are your responsibility.
All expansion packs — including any that unlock new Piece types on your Canvas — are free to install, and include in exports. We will never charge for expansions.
Some expansions (like an AI Pack) may make calls to third-party APIs on your behalf. You're responsible for any costs, rate limits, or terms of service associated with those external services.
Service availability
💡 We aim for uptime. If things go sideways, your Kit export is your safety net.
We target high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or — in extreme circumstances — shut down the hosted service. In any of these cases, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
Because you can always download your Bot Kit JSON for free, you are never fully dependent on Kitcord to keep a copy of what you built.
Limitation of liability
💡 Kitcord is provided as-is. We're doing our best, but we can't cover every possible outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kitcord and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes — but is not limited to — Discord bans, community disputes, or data loss caused by bot behaviour you configured.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes to these Terms
💡 We'll tell you before anything important changes. Silence isn't consent.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material (affect your rights, obligations, or how we handle your data), we will notify you via email and/or an in-app banner at least 7 days before they take effect.
Continuing to use Kitcord after that period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree, you can download your Bot Kits and close your account before the changes apply.
