What Kitcord is
💡 We're a no-code Discord bot builder. You compose the logic — we run the bot.
Kitcord is a visual Discord bot builder. You use our Canvas to assemble bot logic from Pieces (pre-built blocks like "Send Message", "Add Role", "Kick member"), grouped into free expansion packs. The result is a Bot Kit — a JSON file our Engine interprets to run your bot on Discord: slash and right-click spells, triggers that react to server events, and timers that run on a schedule.
You can download your Bot Kit JSON anytime, for free — no secrets inside. You can also download a full self-host ZIP (Kit + SQLite snapshot + compiled Mini Engine) from bot Settings — export stays free.
Your account
💡 Your Discord account gets you in. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
You sign in with Discord (for your Kitcord account only). We receive your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar, and email — that's it for login. Your Discord bot token (from the Developer Portal) is a separate bot credential, stored encrypted when you connect a bot. You're responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately.
You can also let an AI agent sign in as you with agent login: we send a one-time code to your Discord DMs from Kitcord's own bot, and the agent gets a normal session on your account. Anything an agent does with that session counts as you doing it, so only hand codes to agents you trust.
Acceptable use
💡 Build useful bots. Don't build harmful ones.
You agree not to use Kitcord to build or operate bots, or to upload content, that:
Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
Spam, harass, or send unsolicited DMs to Discord users
Distribute malware, phishing links, or illegal content
Share images you don't have the rights to, or that are sexual, graphic, or hateful
Abuse or circumvent Kitcord's infrastructure or rate limits
Infringe on intellectual property or trademarks
Collect personal data from Discord members without clear consent
Violations may result in bot suspension, content removal, or account termination, at our discretion. We'll try to contact you first for non-critical issues.

Hosting and energy
💡 5,000 ⚡ free every month. Most bots stay free. Always-on Full Bots and big Galleries cost more.
Running your bot on Kitcord uses ⚡ Energy. Every flow run spends a little — each Piece has its own cost (replies, roles, moderation, images, and so on), plus a small amount per spell, trigger, or timer run. You get 5,000 ⚡ free every month — enough for most casual bots to stay at zero cost.
Your free ⚡ refills on the monthly anniversary of your account, and unused monthly ⚡ does not roll over. Bonus ⚡ you redeem from a code is kept until you spend it, across resets.
Paid plans with a bigger monthly allowance are coming soon. We'll never charge you unless you choose a plan — no surprise subscriptions.
Bots in Full Bot mode stay connected to Discord around the clock, so they can react to messages and server events and run timers. They use 500 ⚡ per day while live, on top of flow costs. The default Interaction Only mode has no upkeep — great for slash commands, buttons, and pop-up forms. Gallery storage beyond the free 10 MB per bot also uses ⚡ (see section 07).
If your balance hits zero, your live bots are stopped and new Gallery uploads are paused. You can start your bots again once you have ⚡ — after your monthly reset or by redeeming a code. Nothing you built or uploaded is deleted, and building, editing, installing expansions, and exporting are always free.
💎 Soul Crystals pay for Kit, our AI bot builder. Every account gets 3 Soul Crystals once; they don't refill. One crystal covers about 100,000 AI tokens, and each request to Kit spends what it actually used — if Kit fails or produces nothing usable, the crystals are returned. Crystals can also come from codes or gifts from the Kitcord team. They have no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and aren't needed for anything else: the Canvas stays free.
Kit proposes changes; nothing is saved to your bot until you bindit, and nothing goes live until you publish. AI can get things wrong, so check what Kit builds before you publish — your bot's behavior is still your responsibility.
Your Discord bot token
💡 We encrypt it, we store it, and we never expose it — not even in exports.
When you add your Discord bot token (from the Developer Portal — not your login), it is encrypted at rest before storage and is never included in Bot Kit JSON, Kit exports, or any client-facing response. We use it only to connect your bot to Discord on your behalf.
When you self-host with Mini Engine, you supply the bot token in your local .env — it is never pre-populated from Kitcord.
Expansion packs
💡 Expansions are free to install and export. What your bot fetches from the web is your responsibility.
All expansion packs are free to install and to include in exports — today that's the Base Set, The Mod Squad, The Control Panel (buttons, dropdowns, and pop-up forms), and The Darkroom (images). We will never charge for an expansion.
Some Pieces reach outside Discord on your behalf — The Darkroom, for example, can download an image from a link you or your server members give it. You're responsible for having the right to use what your bot fetches and posts. If a future expansion calls a third-party service, its costs, limits, and terms are yours to follow.
Images & the Gallery
💡 Upload images you have the right to use. Anyone with an image's link can see it.
The Darkroom gives each bot a Gallery where you can upload, label, and tag your own images. You must own them or have permission to use them, and they must follow the acceptable-use rules above.
Gallery images are stored with our storage provider (Cloudflare R2) and served from public links so Discord can display them. Anyone who has an image's link can view it, so don't upload anything private.
The first 10 MB per bot is free; after that, storage costs 1 ⚡ per MB per day, charged hourly. Limits are 10 MB per image and 250 MB or 1,000 images per bot. If you run out of ⚡, new uploads are paused but your existing images are kept.
Deleting an image — or the bot it belongs to — removes it from storage. We may remove images that break these Terms.
Service availability
💡 We aim for uptime. If things go sideways, your Kit export is your safety net.
We target high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or — in extreme circumstances — shut down the hosted service. In any of these cases, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
Because you can always download your Bot Kit JSON for free, you are never fully dependent on Kitcord to keep a copy of what you built.
Limitation of liability
💡 Kitcord is provided as-is. We're doing our best, but we can't cover every possible outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kitcord and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes — but is not limited to — Discord bans, community disputes, or data loss caused by bot behaviour you configured.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes to these Terms
💡 We'll tell you before anything important changes. Silence isn't consent.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material (affect your rights, obligations, or how we handle your data), we will notify you via email and/or an in-app banner at least 7 days before they take effect.
Continuing to use Kitcord after that period constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you disagree, you can download your Bot Kits and close your account before the changes apply.
